As reported back in September, Carola will give four Christmas concerts with Liza Minnelli in December (see dates below). Other artists have since then joined the lineup. Jan Malmsjö will perform a number of songs, some of them duets (the classic "New York New York"). The show will be hosted by actor Michael Nyqvist.

Next Friday Carola will appear as a guest judge on the Swedish TV show "Idol". The producers of the show has announced that they want to have a series of guest judges on the current season of the show. For weeks there has been rumors that Carola would be one of these judges, and today the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reveals that Carola now has agreed to appear on the show that has the theme gospel.

The show airs on Swedish TV4 on Friday November 9 at 8.00 pm.

Another concert has been added to the Christmas tour. On November 27, Carola will give two concerts in Pedersöre Kyrka in Jakobstad, Finland. The extra concert starts at 9.00 pm.

The song "I denna natt blir världen ny" from the upcoming Christmas album is now available for download at the Norwegian website Musikkonline (click on the link below).

The song is credited to Carola, Maria Lisland, Peo Thyrén (music) and Erik Hillestad (lyrics).

On November 15, the day after the release of her new album, Carola will record the TV-show "Babben & Co." that airs on SVT1 on December 1 at 8.30pm.

Over the last few years, Carola has been talking about starting up her shcool for performing artists; Camp Carola. So far, these plans have not materialized, but in an interview with Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet, Carola says she hopes the school can start next year.

"The plans have come pretty far; you can sign up to be coached by me, a vocal coach, a choreographer etc. I've had an offer to make a reality show out of it, but declined because I want to find the uniqueness in every single student, have them stand on a stage, put them in front of a camera. It's going to be great fun to me to be teaching."

"The most important thing is not just being a good singer, but what you want to do with your talent. Happiness won't come from having a hit or becoming famous. It's about being happy when you're singing at a school gathering or at a family Christmas party. I want to inspire, encourage and share whatever I can."

"The school with be located close to Stockholm. I'm in negotiations with different possible business partners and hope to start up next year. To start, we'll have weekend courses, but in the future I plan whole semesters."

Yesterday Carola recorded the TV gameshow "Så ska det låta". If you don't want to know what happened during the show, you should stop reading right now!

Yesterday, October 25, Carola performed at the funeral of a 16-year old boy who died after being severely beaten up a few weeks ago. The story has become big news in Sweden and caused a lot of discussion about street violence and youth culture. Carola performed "Störst av allt" and "Amazing Grace".

The four concerts in Kulturkirken Jakob in Oslo in November are all sold out according to the Billetservice website.

The Swedish tabloid Hänt Extra wrote in August that Carola was mistreating her son Amadeus. Carola reacted by reporting the article to Pressombudsmannen (the instance that control the ethics in media).

Yesterday it was announced that Carola won the fight against the tabloid, which now has to pay 25.000 SEK to Carola and print an apology in an upcoming issue.
