Swedish TV channel SVT has made clips from Carola's long career available on their website. "Öppet arkiv - Carola" The clips include Carola's TV-debut as a 11 year old in "Sveriges Magasin", Carola's guest appearance (youngest guest ever) on "Gäst hos Hagge", and an interview with Carola and Pernilla Wahlgren just before the Swedish Song Contest 1991 (which Carola won with "Fångad av en stormvind"). ENJOY!

"Från nu till evighet" - the reviews |

"Från nu till evighet" receives mixed reviews in Swedish news papers today. Markus Larsson at Aftonbladet calls the album "Grand", and Anders Nunstedt at Expressen says Carola's voice is fantastic and that the album feels like a collection of hits. Malena Rydell at Dagens Nyheter says that this is the kind of music that makes Carola fun to listen to.
But other journalists have been less enthusiastic about the album...

(...) But Carola is not just any artist. Both as an artist and a person she is all about being extra-ordinary and "too much". She is convinced she can pick the moon down and run through mountains. The album's big emotions suits her perfectally. (...) "Ingenting du säger" sound like something from Lena Philipsson's latest album, and both "Stanna eller gå" and "Jag ger allt" would probably have won the Swedish Song Contest this year if Carola would have chosen to sing one of them instead of "Evighet".

"Från nu till evighet" feels like a hits collection, even if only "Evighet" and "Genom allt" are documented hits. "Jag lever livet" sounds like a future Eurovision Song Contest winner, "Stanna eller gå" is a wonderful disco song with Turkish influences (...) Her voice is fantastic, and the choruses saves Carola more than once. This is her comeback.

Album release today: "Från nu till evighet" |

Carola's new album "Från nu till evighet" is released in Sweden and Finland today.
Carola is listed a composer on most of the 12 songs on the album, other song writers include Thomas G:son, Bobby Ljungren, Henrik Wikström, Stefan Almqvist, Peo Thyrén, Kee Marcello.

The 2005 hit "Genom allt" and the Swedish Song Contest winner "Evighet" are both included on the new album, as well as "Invincible" - the English version of Evighet, which will be the next single from the album.

At a pool party in Athens yesterday, the Scandinavian entries met the press. Carola sang "Invincible", "Främling", and "Fångad av en stormvind" and had a chance to meet with Lordi that represents Finland, and Christine Guldbrandsen from Norway.

Yesterday, Carola attended the Eurovision Song Contest Opening Party in Athens. After arriving an hour late to the party, Carola was quickly surrounded by the international press and according to some media the situation became a little too intense, and Carola left the party early.

International album release in September |
At a press conference in Athens yesterday, Carola spoke about her upcoming English pop album that will be released in Europe this Fall. Earlier Universal Music mentioned an August release, but Carola said the album is planned for September.
The album will include some new songs, and some favorites from her latest albums. English versions of "När löven faller" and "Genom allt" will probably be included.

Yesterday Carola rehearsed for the first time in the venue where the Eurovision Song Contest will take place next Thursday (semi final) and Saturday (final). She did not wear the clothes that she will wear during the show.

These photos were taken when Carola recorded the TV-show "Nikoli ob desetih", that will air on Slovenian TV Slovenija 2 on May 13. The host was dressed as combination of Pippi Longstocking and a wiking and wearing the Swedish flag. The other guy in the photos is Anžej Dežan who will represent Slovenia in the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens.

Carola will perform at Stockholms Stadion on May 31 as a part of a charity project where the Swedish soccer team from 1994 will play against a team of celebrities. This will be Carola's first performance after the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens. Other artists scheduled to perform are Tomas Ledin and Andreas Johnson.
The match will be televised live on TV4 on May 31, 8.00pm
