MARCH 11
Carola sings "Evighet" in the last of four semi finals of the Swedish Song Contest (Melodifestivalen). She qualifies to the finale together after receiving 290613 telephone votes. The second song to qualify is Björn Kjellman's "Älskar du livet" which receives 93574 votes. 3.6 million people watch the show on TV.

The betting firm Ladbrokers were so convinced that Carola would win the Swedish Song Contest that they stopped people from betting on her victory, as a way of not losing too much money.

MARCH 15
The single of Carola's entry in the Swedish Song Contest "Evighet" is released in Sweden. The single sells gold and tops the Single Chart, the Download Chart, the iTunes Chart, Sverige Top 30, and the Ringtone chart. Surprisingly enough, "Evighet" is Carola's first ever no 1 single in Sweden.

MARCH 17
The 2xCD "Melodifestivalen 2006" is released in Sweden. The album includes all songs from the Swedish Song Contest and tops the collection album chart in Sweden for weeks, selling triple platina.

MARCH 18
Carola wins the Swedish Song Contest with "Evighet" even though she experience some problems with her voice (she does not sing at all at the dress rehearsal). After the jury groups had voted Carola was the first runner up after Andreas Johnson's "Sing For Me", but after receiving 437876 telephone votes, Carola is the clear winner with 232 points. (no 2: BWO "Temple of Love" - 202 points, no 3: Andreas Johnson "Sing For Me" - 200 points). 4.2 million people watch the TV show, which is the largest TV-audience in Sweden of 2006.

Carola appears in TV4's "Nyhetsmorgon" and "Bingolotto" plus SVT's "Melodifestivalen 2006 - Dagen efter" as a result of her victory.

The single "Evighet" is released in Norway.

Andreas Johnson joins Carola who suffers from a bad throat as a guest in "Gomorron Sverige", SVT.

The single "Evighet" enters the Swedish single chart at no 1. The single stays 16 weeks on the chart (3 weeks on no 1).

Carola does promotion in Greece. She appears with host Alexandra Pascalidou on morning TV and performs with the Greek ESC singer Anna Vissi at a night club.

Carola attended the opening of the Norwegian movie "Lange flate ballær" in Fredrikstad. Carola appears towards the end of the movie, singing the Norwegian national anthem "Ja vi elsker dette landet". According to Norwegian media, Carola got the most attention when she walked the red carpet before the movie.

Carola appears on the Norwegian TV-show "Godkveld Norge".

The DVD "Melodifestivalen 2006" is released in Sweden. The 2xDVD includes all semi finals and the finale plus behind the scenes extras from the Swedish Song Contest. The DVD tops the DVD chart in Sweden for weeks, selling double platina.

Carola appears on the Norwegian TV-show "Godkveld Norge" - again!

APRIL 10
The promo single "Invincible" is released to radio stations in Sweden.

APRIL 19
Carola records the video for "Invincible" in Athens, Greece. The video is directed by Mikeadelica.

APRIL 25
Swedish TV4 airs the a one hour interview with Carola named "Malou möter Carola". The interview is conducted by Malou von Sivers and recorded both before the finale of the Swedish Song Contest and in Carola's preparations for the Eurovision Song Contest.

"Invincible" is released as a download in Sweden.

The 2xCD "Eurovision Song Contest 2006" with all the songs from this year's Eurovision Song Contest is released all around Europe.

Carola sings "Invincible" as song no 20 in the semi finale of the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens Greece. She qualifies to the finale on May 20. Later it's been announced that Carola came on 4th place in the semi finale with 214 points (No 1 - Finland 292 points, No 2 - Bosnia and Herzegovina 267 points, No 3 - Russia 217 points). 2.65 million Swedes watch the live telecast.

MAY 20
Carola sings "Invincible" as song no 22 in the finale of the Eurovision Song Contest in Athens Greece. She ends up at no 5 with 170 points (No 1 - Finland 292 points, No 2 - Russia 248 points, No 3 - Bosnia and Herzegovina 229 points, No 4 - Romania 172 points). 2.65 million Swedes watch the live telecast.

The album "Från nu till evighet" is released in Norway and Denmark.

Carola does PR in Denmark. She appears on the TV-show "Go Aften Danmark" on TV2 and the radio show "Metropol".

The album "Soul Link Live 3" with the Williams Brothers is released in USA. The album includes the duet with Carola "Bridge of Love".

Carola does PR in Finland. She recorded the TV-show "Bettina S" on YLE 2.

Carola performed "Invincible" at the Opening Ceremony of the European Athletic Championship in Gothenburg.

Carola's Summer tour comes to and end as she performs her last concert (of 17) at Skansen in Stockholm.

Carola is voted Sweden's most popular female singer in the TV-show "Folktoppen".

Carola performs "Genom allt", "Jag ger allt", "Så länge jag lever", "Fast det är mörkt nu", "Stanna eller gå", and "Evighet" at the Rix FM Festival Tour Finale in Kungsträdgården in Stockholm.

AUGUST 30
Carola launches a set of Christmas plates decorated with angels. The 12 unique paintings of angels are made by AnnMargreth Jonth and sold by Fyrklövern. The set includes plates, bowls, glasses, candle holders and more.

Carola was a presenter at the Nickelodeon's "Kids Choice Awards" at Annexet in Stockholm. She presented the award for Best Male Artist. Although Carola herself was nominated for Best Female Artist, she lost the award to Agnes.

Just back to Stockholm after her trip to Nashville USA, Carola surprised the audience at a concert at the Filadelfia church by singing "Go Tell it on the Mountain" and "Lean on Me".
