The album "My Show" is released in Denmark.
MARCH 18
The single "I Believe In Love" is released to Swedish
radio stations.
MARCH 25
Anders Glenmark's album "Alla Dessa Bilder" is released
in Sweden. The album contains "Saknar", a duet with
Carola.
APRIL 1
Carola performs "I Believe In Love" at Faddergalan.
1,2 million people watch the show on TV4.
APRIL 5
News about Färdknäpp, a tour with Povel Ramel, Carola,
Johan Ulvesson, Paula McManus and The Real Group. The tour was
suppossed to visit seven Swedish cities in June 2002. The tour
was later cancelled, due to conflicting schedules.
APRIL 5
The single "I Believe In Love" enters the Swedish
Dance Chart at no 25. Peak position: no 11 (May 15). 16 weeks
on the chart.
MAY 11
Carola performs U2's "Pride (In The Name Of Love)"
at the "Time For Life Concert" in Colossuem, Rome.
Other performers include Ray Charles and Nicola Piovani. Swedish
TV3 airs the show, which is broadcasted all over Europe, live.
MAY 13
The single "I Believe In Love" is released in Sweden.
Later it is also released as a promo single in various countries,
among them; Greece, Estonia and Brazil.
MAY 24
The single "I Believe In Love" enters the Swedish
singles chart at no 13, which is it's peak position. 15 weeks
on the chart.
JUNE 20
Carola is interviewed in TV4's Nyhetsmorgon.
JUNE 25
Carola performs at the season premiere
of Allsång På Skansen Tuesday night. She performs a hits medley,
"I Believe in Love" and the Swedish classic "Sommar,
Sommar, Sommar". The show had its largest TV-audience ever
- 2.27 Million viewers.
JUNE 28
Carola kicks off her My Show Summer Tour in Motala. She receives
great reviews. 22 concerts.
JULY 14
Carola performs four songs at the birthday celebration of Swedish
Crown Princess Victoria. The concert is broadcasted live in
Swedish SVT1.
AUGUST
The single "You+Me" is released to Swedish radio stations.
No commercial release.
SEPTEMBER 25
Carola is making a guest appearance in the London production
of Les Miserables. During a week she performs nine shows.
OCTOBER 4
Carola continues her My Show Tour with four extra concers in
Boden, Umeå and Lycksele.
OCTOBER 13
Swedish radio P4 airs a live recording of Carola's My Show Concert.
OCTOBER 26
The Les Miserables in Concert starts its Scandinavian tour in
Copenhagen, Denmark. The reviews are excellent! The tour also
visits Stockholm Sweden, Oslo Norway, Helsinki Finland, Oslo
Norway and Gothenburg Sweden. 19 concerts.
NOVEMBER 9
News that Carola's song "Autumn Leaf", co-written
by Ingemar Åberg, is accepted to the Swedish Song Contest.
DECEMBER 5
Carola's Christmas tour Jul I Betlehem starts in Gävle,
Sweden. 14 concerts.
DECEMBER 6
The album "Jul I Betlehem" re-enters the Swedish Album
Chart at no 37. (On the chart over Swedish albums-no 16). This
years peak position; no 30 (Swedish album no 9) (December 13)
5 weeks on the chart, which brings the total no of weeks to
24.
DECEMBER 17
Carola performs at the benefit concert "En Sång För
De Hemlösa", in Katarina church, Stockholm. The concert
is recorded by Swedish TV3.
DECEMBER 18
"Autumn Leaf" is disqualified from the Swedish Song
Contest, due to Carola's decision not to perform the song in
the contest. According to the rules, the singer who performs
the song on the demo sent to the jury, has to perform the song
in the competition. Carola did look for another singer, but
none of her suggestions suited SVT.
DECEMBER 31
News that Carola will co-host one of the semi-finales of the
Swedish Song Contest 2003.
