WINTER
Carola records and releases "Fushigi Na Hitomi / Donīt Tell Me What To Do" in Japan.

APRIL
Carola becomes the youngest guest ever in legendary Swedish tv-show "Gäst hos Hagge".
She decides not to extend the contact with Mariann Records.

APRIL 26
Carola signs up with Polydor International.
The contract gives her two albums in two years.

JUNE 14
Carola starts her tour at Liseberg in Gothenburg. After a caotic summer with musicians fighting over the salaries, bad reviews, cancelled shows due to illness, new rehearsals, new opening night which recievs much better reviews, the tour ends up an economical disaster.
The single "Fushigi Na Hitomi / Donīt Tell Me What To Do" enters at no 19 (its peak position) at the Swedish singles chart, where it stays for two weeks.

JULY
Maurice Gibb from the BeeGees accepts to produce Carola's next album.
