JANUARY 10
The EP "Julefrid" enters at no 8 at the Swedish singles chart where it stays for two weeks.

JANUARY
Carola does PR for the album "Love Isn't Love" in Japan.

FEBRUARY 25
Swedish TV broadcasts the show "Carola Så In I Norden" recorded at Cirkus in Stockholm, to recognise Carola's first and remarkable year as a performer.

APRIL 3
The single "Tommy Loves Me" enters the Swedish singles charts. It peaks on no 10 (Apr 17) and stays 10 weeks on the chart.

APRIL 17
Carola has two singles on the charts. "Tommy Loves Me" (no 10) and "Carola så in i Norden", recorded live from the tv-show (no 16). That is its peak position and it stays on the chart for 2 weeks.

SPRING
Tours with concerts in sports arenas all around Sweden.

MAY 15
The album "Steg För Steg" enters at no 1 at the Swedish album charts where it stays for 12 weeks.

The album "På Egna Ben" enters at no 5 at the Swedish albums chart, which is its peak position. It stays on the chart for 6 weeks.
The two albums Carola released in 1984 reach a total sales of over 700.000 copies.
